About Me
My name is Amal أمل, Arabic for Hope. You may wonder who I am and how I will guide you.
As an Executive Coach, I support professionals in expanding their capacity to make conscious decisions. I offer one-on-one coaching, coach training, mentoring, and coaching program development. I have experienced a journey of self-discovery, and I coach from the understanding that we create an awareness of our true, authentic selves.
As the eldest of five children, I internalized many expectations. I married at 22, gave birth to four children, and managed the household and finances by working full-time while pursuing my MBA. I became good at accepting obligations, responsibilities, and commitments to others.
It has taken experience and awareness through a coaching relationship to realize my authentic voice and make the conscious decisions to integrate my culture, education, and experience to effect change. I have built my coaching practice through a steadfast commitment to personal and professional development and resolve.
My Coaching Journey and Practice
During my initial experience of being coached, I felt this energetic flow that I never experienced before. Suddenly, my labels, titles, roles, looks, education, and expertise did not matter! The coaching conversation revolved around my experience and what was emerging. Right then, I knew I wanted to share this experience with others.
I had spent more than two decades as a scientist and business leader – chemist, change manager, and strategic project manager – working across disciplines and with diverse and talented individuals. My research resulted in over 60 scientific publications, papers, and presentations.
In 2016, I launched my coaching business, bringing this rigor and diverse experience to support professionals with practices to live consciously from an empowering context.
In 2019, I left my world of scientific inquiry and ventured into coaching full-time. Realizing your authenticity can be liberating, challenging, and uncomfortable.

My education and professional development include the following:
- BS in Chemistry, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (1997)
- MBA in Leadership and Strategy with a focus in Marketing, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2014)
Certifications include:
- Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) through Co-Active Training Institute (CTI) 2018
- ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC)
- Board-Certified Coach (BCC) through the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE)
Professional Experience
I work with clients across the globe in the following areas of expertise:
- Executive coaching and mental health coaching.
- Business coaching and strategic consulting.
I support individuals, teams, and organizations in these areas of development.
- Leadership development, vertical development, and self-mastery.
- Coach program development and facilitation, and coach training and mentoring.
I am fluent in the Arabic language.
I also serve in various leadership capacities within the field of coaching.
Facilitate core curriculum coaching courses globally.
- Serve as a Coach Certification Faculty member, training new coaches and mentoring them through their certification.
Design, develop, and deliver coach training modules for leading higher education institutions.
Coaching Leadership
As a volunteer leader in the coaching field, I’ve served in several positions.
- (2017-2018) Membership Chair, ICF Raleigh Area Chapter (ICF-RAC) membership
- (2018) Founder of Coach Connect, an event inviting coaches from diverse backgrounds to connect and learn from each other.
- (2019) Co-Founder of the Hope Sisters Committee through the Islamic Association of Raleigh.
